KIT Program
KIT
The bag by the door, the box in the garage, and the one in the trunk, packed before the day you need them.
The First 72 Hours Belong to the Family
When the big one hits, every firefighter, paramedic, officer, nurse, and service member goes to work for everyone else. The roads are closed, the stores are dark, and help is days away. For the first 72 hours, and often much longer, the family behind the uniform lives on what is already inside the house.
KIT puts it there first. A full emergency kit at home, a smaller one in every car, and a go bag by the door for each person and each pet, so the family never has to choose between staying put and going without.
KIT is the second word of HOME, the Uniform Families Foundation household program for the families of firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement, medical staff, and the military, and for every Uniform Kid who waits up for a parent on shift. Some families build their own KIT. Some cannot afford to this month. UFF makes sure both end up with one.

Built With More Prepared
More Prepared
More Prepared builds emergency kits and go bags in Torrance, California, and stands with Uniform Families Foundation as our kit partner. Their kits are the backbone of the KIT program, from the go bag by the door to the full home supply, assembled by people who do this every day.
Stock a KIT
Not every uniform family can build a KIT this month. Stock one through the UFF Walmart registry and UFF places it with a verified family. One registry order, one family that is no longer waiting.
Who Gets a KIT
The families of firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement, medical staff, and the military, and every Uniform Kid. Every request is confirmed privately with the family before a KIT goes out.
Tell Us About Your Household
Tell UFF who lives in your home, including pets, and which KIT you need. UFF confirms every request privately with the family before anything is sent.
Put a KIT in Every Uniform Family's Home
Your gift builds KITs for uniform families who cannot build their own, so the first 72 hours are covered before the day comes.
