Uniform Safe Haven
A Uniform Families Foundation Program
Uniform Safe Haven
For the women of uniform families who are living with or leaving domestic abuse, and for the children who leave with them. You hold the family together while someone else wears the badge, the helmet, the scrubs, or the uniform. If home is not safe, you do not have to leave alone.
You are believed here. You are not alone here.Who This Is For
Uniform Safe Haven serves the women of firefighter, paramedic, law enforcement, medical, and military households: wives, partners, and mothers who are not in uniform themselves, along with their children. If abuse is happening in your home, this program is for you, whatever your situation looks like today.
Still at Home
You are not ready to leave, or you cannot yet. We can still help you plan, prepare, and stay connected to someone who understands.
Ready to Leave
You have decided, and you need the money, the moves, and the practical pieces that make leaving possible.
Already Out
You left, and now you are starting over with your children. We help with the first month and the long road after it.
What UFF Provides
Direct help for the practical side of leaving and starting over. Every request is reviewed privately by UFF leadership and nothing is shared without your permission.
Gift Cards
Grocery, gas, pharmacy, and household gift cards so you and your children have what you need right now.
Deposit or First Month's Rent
Help with the deposit or the first month's rent on a safe place of your own.
Moving Costs
A truck, movers, storage, or the gas to get you and your children somewhere safe.
A New Phone and Number
A phone that cannot be tracked and a number that is yours alone.
A Care Package
Toiletries, basics, and comfort items for you, and age appropriate items for each child, delivered quietly.
A Private Circle
A verified, hidden community of women who have walked this road, so you never have to explain the uniform part of your story.
What Comes Through Our Partners
Some help needs trained specialists. UFF connects you to domestic violence organizations for the pieces we do not provide ourselves, and we stay with you while they do.
Reach Out Privately
This form goes only to UFF leadership. Tell us what is safe. If it is not safe to call or text you, say so and we will follow your lead. Your email is optional.
Stand With Her
Your gift pays the deposit, loads the gift cards, buys the phone, and fills the care package. Every dollar given to Uniform Safe Haven stays with Uniform Safe Haven.
