Rookie Officers Forum

Academy behind you. Field training in front of you. The first call that did not go the way it went in training. A room for officers in their first two years, with veterans who remember.

Everybody was a rookie once. Nobody has to be one alone.

Who This Room Is For

For Officers in Their First Two Years

Sworn officers, deputies, agents, and corrections officers in their first two years, with veteran officers in the room.

FTO and the First Year

Surviving field training, finding your feet, and what the veterans wish someone had told them.

The First Hard Call

It comes for everyone. Talk about it here, off the record, before it follows you home.

The New Home Front

Explaining the job to a new spouse, missing the first holidays, and why you scan every restaurant.

How the Room Works

Private. Verified. Yours.

The conversation lives in the Uniform Families Foundation community on Circle, not on Facebook and not on this page. Every member is verified by us before they are let in. Request below, we confirm who you are, and your invitation comes by email.

  • Verified law enforcement only, plus family in the family room. We confirm employment before anyone is let in, and we never share it.
  • First names only if you want it that way. No agency names required in the room.
  • What is said in the room stays in the room. No screenshots, no reposting, ever.
  • No case details, no suspect details, nothing that belongs in a report.
  • Every agency is equal here: city, county, state, federal, corrections, campus.
  • If someone is in crisis, we step in. The room is not a substitute for 988 or Copline.

Why We Built This

Because the First Two Years Decide Everything

Too many good officers leave in the first years, worn down before they ever get their footing. Uniform Families Foundation built this room so a rookie has veterans in their corner from the first shift.

Uniform Families Foundation communities are peer support and are not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. Membership requires verification. We never share member information.
