New Grad Medical Forum

First year on the floor. First patient loss. First time you cried in the supply closet. A room for new nurses, techs, and therapists, with veterans who remember every bit of it.

Everybody was new once. Nobody has to be new alone.

Who This Room Is For

For Medical Workers in Their First Two Years

Nurses, CNAs, techs, therapists, and residents in their first two years, with veteran medical workers in the room.

The First Loss

It is coming, or it already came. Talk about it here before it talks to you at 3 a.m.

The Floor Itself

Preceptors, charge nurses, ratios, and how to survive a bad unit without quitting a good career.

The New Home Front

Explaining nights to a new spouse, missing the first holiday, and why you sleep with the blackout curtains.

How the Room Works

Private. Verified. Yours.

The conversation lives in the Uniform Families Foundation community on Circle, not on Facebook and not on this page. Every member is verified by us before they are let in. Request below, we confirm who you are, and your invitation comes by email.

  • Verified medical workers only, plus family in the family room. We confirm employment or enrollment before anyone is let in.
  • No patient details, ever. Talk about the shift, not the patient.
  • What is said in the room stays in the room. No screenshots, no reposting.
  • Every role is equal here: the CNA and the surgeon sit in the same room.
  • No employer bashing by name. Talk about the work, not the hospital.
  • If someone is in crisis, we step in. The room is not a substitute for 988.

Why We Built This

Because the First Year Decides the Next Thirty

Too many nurses and techs leave in the first two years, worn down before they get good. Uniform Families Foundation built this room so a new grad has veterans in their corner from the first shift.

Uniform Families Foundation communities are peer support and are not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. Membership requires verification. We never share member information.
