Uniform Single Mothers
A Uniform Families Foundation Program
Uniform Single Mothers
For the women raising the children of uniform families on their own. The uniform may be folded away or gone from the house, but the kids still carry it. So do you. This program is for you.
You are not raising them alone anymore.Who This Is For
Uniform Single Mothers serves women who are not in uniform themselves and are raising children alone: widows of firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement officers, medical workers, and service members, and mothers whose children's father serves or served and is no longer in the home.
Widows
He did not come home, and you are raising his children with his pension paperwork in one hand and a lunchbox in the other. You belong here.
Former Spouses and Partners
The marriage ended, the shift work and the strain of the job may have had something to do with it, and the children are yours to raise day to day. You belong here.
Mothers Carrying It All
Every bedtime, every school form, every bill, every emergency. If you are the only adult in the house, you belong here.
What UFF Provides
Practical help that lands in your kitchen, not in a brochure. Every request is reviewed privately by UFF leadership.
Grocery and Household Gift Cards
Gift cards for groceries, gas, pharmacy, and the household basics that quietly empty a single income.
A Bill in a Hard Month
When one month breaks the budget, we pay one bill, utility, car, insurance, or rent shortfall, so the month does not break you.
School Supplies and Holiday Help
Backpacks and supplies in August, and Christmas gifts for your children in December, through Backpack and School Supplies and Uniform Kids Christmas.
A Care Package
A box for you, not just the kids. Because the mother in the house is the one who never gets a package.
Uniform Kids Programs
Your children are Uniform Kids. That means Trump Accounts for children of fallen or injured members, the Reading Corps, and every Uniform Kids program we run.
A Private Circle
A verified community of mothers in the same position, so you can say the hard parts out loud to people who already know them.
How It Works
Three steps. No speeches, no hoops you cannot clear with a toddler on your hip.
Reach Out
This form goes only to UFF leadership. Tell us about your household and what would make the biggest difference this month.
Stand With Her
Your gift becomes a loaded grocery card, a paid light bill, a backpack in August, and a box with her name on it. Every dollar given here stays with Uniform Single Mothers.
