Terms of service

Last updated October 1, 2026

Welcome to Uniform Families Foundation ("UFF," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service govern your use of uniformfamiliesfoundation.com, including our program pages, forums, blog libraries, shop, and donation links. By using this site, requesting help, posting in a forum, making a purchase, or making a donation, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who We Are

Uniform Families Foundation is a California nonprofit public charity recognized by the IRS under Section 501(c)(3), EIN 41-5063345. We serve firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement, medical staff, military, and their children. Our address of record is 269 South Beverly Drive #1255, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.

2. Programs and Requests for Help

Our programs are offered to eligible uniform families as described on each program page. Submitting a request is not a guarantee of assistance. Whether and how we can help depends on eligibility, the resources available at the time, and UFF's review. UFF decides each request at its sole discretion and may ask for additional information, decline a request, or close a request at any time. Help we provide is a gift, not an entitlement, and does not create an ongoing obligation. Providing false information or altered documents will result in denial and removal from our programs.

3. Verification

Before providing help we may ask for proof of service, such as an agency identification card, badge number, pay stub, military ID, or discharge papers. You agree that everything you submit is accurate and that all documents are genuine. Verification documents are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Donations

Donations to UFF are processed by Zeffy, our donation platform, and are governed by Zeffy's own terms. Donations are voluntary and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Zeffy issues your tax receipt. UFF does not receive or store your full payment card or bank account numbers.

Designated gifts. If you choose a pillar, fund, or program when you give, your gift is used for that purpose. Gifts made without a designation are directed to the pillar with the greatest need at the time. If a designated program ends or can no longer accept funds, UFF will direct the gift to the most closely related purpose.

Recurring gifts. You may cancel a monthly or recurring gift at any time through the link in your Zeffy receipt or by contacting us.

Corrections. Donations are final. If you made an error, such as a duplicate gift or an incorrect amount, contact us within 30 days and we will work with you to correct it.

5. Shop

Purchases of merchandise from our shop are purchases, not donations, and are not tax deductible. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. We may limit quantities, correct pricing or listing errors, and cancel any order we suspect is fraudulent. Shipping and delivery are described in our Shipping Policy, and returns and exchanges are described in our Refund Policy.

6. Forums and Community Conduct

Our forums exist so uniform families and the people who stand with them can connect and support one another. You are responsible for everything you post. You agree not to post anything that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, defamatory, or unlawful; not to impersonate anyone; not to share another person's private information; not to post spam, advertising, or solicitations; and not to share confidential or security sensitive information about any agency, station, unit, or operation. Nothing posted in a forum by any member is professional advice. UFF may edit or remove any content and may suspend or close any account at any time, at its discretion.

7. Photos, Stories, and Other Submissions

When you send us photos, stories, nominations, testimonials, or other material, you keep ownership of it, and you give UFF permission to use it on our website, social media, newsletters, and fundraising and program materials. You confirm that you have the right to share it and that every person shown has agreed, with a parent or guardian agreeing for anyone under 18. If you want something removed, email info@uniformfamiliesfoundation.com and we will take it down.

8. UFF Name, Logo, and Content

The Uniform Families Foundation name, logo, program names, and the text, images, and design of this site belong to UFF. You may view and share our content for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests UFF sponsors or endorses you, your business, or your event without our written permission.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, UFF, its directors, officers, volunteers, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, our programs, or our forums, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid UFF for the purchase at issue, if any.

12. Your Responsibility

You agree to hold UFF harmless from claims, losses, and expenses that arise from anything you post, anything you submit, or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new date at the top, and your continued use of the site means you accept them. We may suspend or end your access to the site or forums at any time.
