Military Wives
The countdown on the refrigerator. Orders with two weeks notice. Both parents for months at a time. A room for the wives of service members and veterans, every branch, active and retired.
He serves the country. You serve him. In here, everyone does.
Who This Room Is For
For the Wives of Service Members and Veterans
Wives and partners of active duty, Guard, Reserve, and veteran service members from every branch, and the Gold Star wives who remain part of this family.
Deployment
Counting the days, holding the house, and the phone call that did not come on schedule.
The Move
PCS orders, new schools, new jobs, and starting over every two or three years.
After the Uniform
Living with a veteran, the transition, and what came home with him.
How the Room Works
Private. Verified. Yours.
The conversation lives in the Uniform Families Foundation community on Circle, not on Facebook and not on this page. Every member is verified by us before they are let in. Request below, we confirm who you are, and your invitation comes by email.
- Verified wives and partners only. We confirm your husband's service before anyone is let in and never share it.
- First names only if you want it that way.
- What is said in the room stays in the room. No screenshots, no reposting, ever.
- No agency, department, unit, or hospital names required. Nothing operational about his job.
- Widows are welcome and honored in every wives room.
- If someone is in crisis, we step in. The room is not a substitute for 988.

Why We Built This
Because a Marine's Wife Built This
Uniform Families Foundation was founded by a Marine's wife. She built Watching the Door for military spouses and this room for the wives who want a room of their own, because the President's Military Spouse Commission exists for a reason.
Uniform Families Foundation communities are peer support and are not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. Membership requires verification. We never share member information.
